September 26, 2009 is the day that won’t be easily forgotten by many Filipinos, it was a sudden tragedy cause by outpouring of heavy rains for only few hours, but the effect was devastating...

Many families lost their homes, possessions, and for some - their loved ones.. Manila was not the only area affected by Ondoy, Laguna area was greatly affected too.

October 1, 2009, Folsom Arts paved a way to help our fellow Filipinos in Laguna area who were victims of Typhoon Ondoy. In cooperation with Church of God Dasmarinas - Theater Arts Ministry, Intel PCG Group, and Designer's Artwork Center.

Using the Folsom Arts van, bringing food, clothing, and medicines to the victims.
The volunteers were privilege to pray for them too.

 

 

We Filipinos are known for “Bayanihan” - a spirit of unity and effort to achieve a particular goal. This is one of those times that we really need to put “bayanihan” into practice. We need to put aside all our differences and work together to help the victims of Ondoy.

Let's continue to pray for the countless families who were affected by Ondoy and hope that they’d get the help that they need and be able to recover as soon as possible.
