Oplan Pagpapala 2

Folsom Arts Inspires, with partnership of concerned citizens of Dasmarinas, Cavite launched Oplan Pagpapala 2. This is to provide relief efforts to the Typhoon Pedring victims in Calumpit, Bulacan last October 15, 2011.

Last Sept 2011, Luzon archipelago was hit by super Typhoon Pedring where many places in Luzon specially Calumpit, Bulacan were hampered by the typhoon with up to 7 feet flood. Many infrastructures including agriculture crops, residential houses were severely damaged leaving some family almost nothing but their lives. Folsom Arts Inspires Volunteers (Folsom Arts volunteer staff) started to organize a relief effort to provide relief goods for the typhoon victims. With the help and partnership of concerned citizen of Dasmarinas, Cavite, the team managed to provide and distributed the following :
•550 bags of relief goods (Canned Goods, Noodles, Rice, Toothpaste, Soaps, Used clothing, etc.)
•300pcs of walis tingting.

Relief goods distributed at NV5 village under Brother Umali. The volunteers who distributed the goods were also amazed and inspired how the community unites as they all work together to clean up their barangay after the typhoon. "Sa panahon ng mga ganitong kalamidad, lumalabas ang tunay na diwa ng bayanihan at pagkakaisa ng mga Pilipino".

 

 

 

Folsom Arts Inspires is a volunteerism and corporate responsibility program of Folsom Arts. Folsom Arts Inspires, derived from our motto "Bringing colors to every Filipino's Dream" which to inspire our community by volunteerism, to bring hope and inspiration that there is hope in our country.
